- More than 15 years of experience with product reliability engineering at one of the world’s largest LED producers - Key Expert Reliability & Standards - Extensive knowledge of reliability and failure of microelectronic devices and materials as well as statistical methods and simulation tools - 5 years of experience conducting top-level research - Intercultural competence due to working temporarily in Malaysia and Switzerland and studying in USA, England and France - Experience in employee training and teaching - Result-focused and -driven, persistent, curious, flexible, with pronounced analytical skills Specific knowledge and skills: - Accelerated reliability testing and qualification tests - Lifetime modeling with statistical models - Good knowledge of applied statistics, e.g. distributions, regression, ANOVA, statistical tests, confidence intervals - Six Sigma and DMAIC improvement cycle - Stochastic simulation / Monte Carlo simulation - Finite element method (FEM) and optical simulation with ray tracing - Failure analysis of microelectronic devices

- Semiconductor and microelectronics research: Fabrication, characterization and modeling of transistors and CMOS-type inverters based on novel materials (organic semiconductors and dielectrics) - Planning and implementation of a cryogenic high-vacuum probe station for electrical measurement of transistors - Development of new materials in collaboration with industry (Ciba SC, Basel) - Publication of research results in scientific journals, patent applications and talks at international conferences - Supervision of diploma and semester students - Teaching assistant in solid-state physics
