R&T Technical Lead Engineer and R&T focal point for Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing for the site Stevenage. In this role I am responsible for the technical lead of a team of research engineers regarding the technical contents of developments, reporting to the management, budgeting and scheduling.
The aim of my PhD thesis was to develop new non-destructive testing (NDT) methods for the characterization of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). The overall objective was to make a contribution to licensing structural bonding of CFRP in aerospace. Beside the investigations in European and German national projects of NDT methods in my project work I was also responsible for new bonding technologies of CFRP.
