• Developed a database in which standard organic compounds were identified on a Thermo LTQ mass spectrometer using both DART and DESI as an ion source. • Analyzed the content of extracted gunpowder using DESI and LTQ. • Evaluated GSR on cloths samples that were shot with cartridges from the same source as the extracted gunpowder. • Obtained accurate data and written reports in a timely fashion while meeting established guidelines. • Secured, preserved, stored, and documented samples according to laboratory procedures.
