With over 25 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound, I am proficient in a wide range of scans including abdominal, pelvic, breast, neck/thyroid, Doppler, and soft tissue imaging. However, my particular passion lies in Women’s and Pediatric Imaging, where I strive to deliver accurate, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Obstetric Ultrasounds 1. First Trimester Ultrasound - Dating Scan - Nuchal Translucency Scan 2. Second Trimester Ultrasound - Anatomy Scan (or Level 2 Ultrasound) 3. Third Trimester Ultrasound - Growth Scan - Doppler for IUGR or to rule out morbid placental adherence Gynecological Ultrasounds 1. Pelvic Ultrasound: - Evaluates the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and bladder to diagnose conditions like fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disease. 2. Transvaginal Ultrasound: - Often used for early pregnancy assessments, evaluation of pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and infertility investigations. 3. Follicular Monitoring: - Tracks ovarian follicles' development in women undergoing fertility treatments to determine the best timing for ovulation and egg retrieval. 4. Hysterosonography (Saline Infusion Sonography): - A specialized ultrasound where saline is injected into the uterine cavity to provide a clearer view of the uterine lining and cavity. Breast Ultrasound; To detect lumps, cysts, or solid masses, benign and malignant lesions and also To help guide needle biopsies and other procedures, Neonatal Brain: To look for abnormalities or signs of developmental issues such as intraventricular hemorrhage, periventricular leukomalacia, hydrocephalus, ventriculomegaly, congenital malformations, cysts, and any other structural anomalies or abnormalities that may affect the baby's brain development or function. Pediatric ultrasound Pediatric ultrasound is favored for its non-invasive nature, safety, and absence of radiation exposure, making it particularly suitable for use in children. Detecting and diagnosing structural abnormalities in organs and tissues, such as congenital malformations, tumors, and cysts.
