As an Assistant Professor of Biology & Biotechnology at the American International University (AIU), I bring over 20 years of combined clinical, academic, and leadership experience in biomedical sciences. My journey is driven by a passion for education, innovation, and building bridges between science and society. With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from University College Dublin, I’ve developed deep expertise in clinical diagnostics, molecular biology, and biotechnology, alongside leadership roles such as Chief Medical Laboratory Specialist at the Ministry of Health in Kuwait—where I led major initiatives in quality assurance, safety management, and laboratory operations. At AIU, I design and teach undergraduate courses in histology, hematology and blood bank, clinical biochemistry, cellular biochemistry, pathology, and more. I also mentor and supervise students during their clinical internships, helping them transition confidently from classroom to laboratory. In parallel, I lead academic engagement and outreach—from TEDx-style talks, student-led symposiums, and Global Biotechnology Week to board game contests and skincare formulation workshops. I believe science is most powerful when it’s shared creatively.
