As Head of Bank Steering IT, I lead the design, modernization, and operation of the bank’s core steering applications and processes. With a strong understanding of both business requirements and technical architecture, my cross-functional team of developers, business analysts, product owners, and architects, delivers scalable, efficient, and audit-proof solutions for areas such as trading, regulatory reporting, valuation (full fair value & hedged fair value), accounting (IFRS & HGB), controlling & performance management, and market risk. We act as strategic partners for the business - driving simplification, innovation, and long-term stability in the bank's IT landscape.
- Planned and initiated a strategic initiative to build a deposit platform for private clients (responsible for scope definition, acted as project lead and strategic sparring partner) - Simplification and standardization of core banking functionalities: Planned and initiated an enterprise-wide initiative to streamline the IT landscape and unify functional and technical processes; focus on consolidating core banking functionalities in standard systems (acted as originator, scope owner, sparring partner, and project initiator). - Data Strategy: Led a feasibility study to design a new data strategy with a focus on self-service analytics and regulatory compliance, including BCBS 239 and audit readiness. - AI Strategy: contributed as sparring partner in developing an AI strategy for the bank, with emphasis on governance and use case ideation. - Project Lead “Data, Interfaces and Adapters”: Managed a key project to modernize the bank’s data architecture and technical interface infrastructure.
