Cardiology trainee in the North Central and East London deanery, dedicated to clinical excellence and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. My professional interests include medical education and resuscitation, supported by my role as a Medical Course Director for the Resuscitation Council UK. My work in widening participation has been an important part of my journey. I regularly speak at secondary schools, community groups and access-to-medicine programmes to promote diversity and inclusion in healthcare. These efforts were recently acknowledged with the award of the Freedom of the City of London. Outside of medicine, I am a dancer with breakdancing as my primary style, and a committed fitness enthusiast. These pursuits keep me active and provides balance, discipline and creativity alongside my clinical work.
During my tenure from 2024 to 2025 as Chief Registrar at St Bartholomew’s, I led a multi-year strategy to elevate the training experience for resident doctors, presenting it to the Hospital Executive Board and aligning it with NHS England’s 10-point plan to improve their working lives. I redesigned the induction program, focusing on essential elements so every new doctor had clear, efficient guidance from day one. I improved IT access, launched the monthly Chief Registrar’s Newsletter, initiated the PACES preparation program, and co-facilitated a Career Development Day for Locally Employed Doctors, especially International Medical Graduates. I also improved the Resident Doctors' Forum, creating a robust space for dialogue, and I presented our success at the National Guardians of Safe Working Conference, where peers saw how our model could be adapted nationally. I completed the Royal College of Physicians' Chief Registrar Programme, and my project was shortlisted for a national poster prize. I’m proud to have fostered a culture of support, belonging, and innovation, ensuring resident doctors thrived in their training at Barts.
