Your sustainability strategy is sound. Your targets are set. Your team is moving. And yet something keeps getting in the way. The stakeholder who agreed in the meeting and hasn't acted since. The initiative that worked in the pilot and won't travel. The team member who's stuck and won't say so because the professional cost of admitting it is too high. This is the human side of sustainability implementation. The part that determines whether everything else succeeds or stalls. The part almost nothing is built for. I'm Dr. Jacqueline Kerr. I've spent 25+ years at the intersection of behavior change science, implementation science, and sustainability practice, working on exactly this. Why some initiatives spread and others die in the pilot. What's really going on when a stakeholder resists. What actually moves them. Earlier this year I made that thinking available to any sustainability team through the Real Change Partner. → A 24/7 diagnostic thought partner built specifically for sustainability teams. You describe what's stuck. It diagnoses the human dynamics getting in the way, works with you on the next move, and ends every session with a written accountability plan. It’s like having me in the room with you. You get the support you need at the moment you need it. Three free sessions at realchangepartner.com. No sales call required. → For sustainability directors leading a team: The tool can be configured to your organization's specific context and the human barriers your team faces most. Your team gets on-demand implementation thinking that keeps them moving. You get visibility into where they're getting stuck without needing to be in every conversation. Your team stays productive on the human side. You stay strategic. Interested in the enterprise version? Send a message. → Working directly with organizations: If your team is hitting walls on Scope 3 engagement, supplier activation, or employee behavior change and you can't figure out why, that's the challenge I'm built for. If you’re ready to move faster, scale smarter, and lead sustainability where it counts, I’d love to talk. Let your brand be known for what it delivers, not just what it promises.
Founder and Sustainability Implementation Strategist, Leading Real Change LLC I founded Leading Real Change to solve the part of sustainability implementation most consulting ignores: the human side. Job burnout is recognized by the World Health Organization, but there is also caregiver burnout, emotional burnout, and parental burnout. While self care helps you manage your stress it does not solve the structural inequalities that create the conditions that cause burnout. We need to use behavior change science to create individual, organizational and cultural change to prevent burnout. Dr Jacqueline Kerr is a mom, behavior scientist and burnout survivor. She is in the top 1% of most cited scientists worldwide. Dr Kerr left her position as a public health professor in 2018 and now hosts the podcast 'Overcoming Working Mom Burnout' where she interviews researchers, diversity experts, and leadership coaches. She is on a mission to dismantle the causes of working mom burnout and find solutions that we can all use to change the social norms around burnout.
