I am an International Relations scholar in Istanbul and I have a PhD degree in the English School of International Relations theory from the University of Birmingham, UK and an MSc degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. My PhD project applied the English School theory to the process of European integration. My broader research and teaching areas include globalization, diplomacy, IR theory and first-order questions about statehood in the international system. The following are my works in progress until the end of 2024: 1. ‘Building’ New States in a Eurocentric International System: Resistance, Acquiescence and Israel's Architectural Diplomacy in the Developing World in the 1950s and 1960s (forthcoming book chapter) 2. English School: Natural Disasters and Promises of Regional Solidarities in the Middle East in International Relations of the Middle East: Approaches and Case Studies (forthcoming chapter in undergraduate textbook). 3.
