You know how small children cannot stop asking questions? Well the small child in me is still very much alive, and I love to ask questions such as “Why is it like that?”, ”Who benefits from this?”, “When do things work especially well?”, “How could it be better?” and “What do we have to do to win?” My current engagements include: - Manager, Group Projects, Symetri AB (www.symetri.com) Symetri challenges people to work smarter for a better future. Onshore Technology's (formerly called Niri) unique land based technology has been developed and tested over several years. The independent production units come with fully integrated recirculation technologies and scalable production concepts. Production can thus be scaled up to multi-ton production of various fish species at a competitive cost at many geographic locations. Ontec works with prospecting investors and partners in specialist disciplines to perform pre-feasibility studies to evaluate sites and plant configurations aimed to optimise seafood production and achieve synergies with downstream services such as energy production and utilization of nutrients where possible. Niri was established in the autumn of 2006 by a small team of engineers and marine biologists with many years of hands-on experience in the aquaculture industry. The company’s main office is situated in Måløy, on the west coast of Norway, with experience from test facility operations in Cork, Ireland in 2011 and a pre-production installation in Machrihanish, Scotland in 2013.
Hibis was formed in 1998 and our mission has always been to put prevention and early detection FIRST. Today Hibis is an advisory organisation which helps to open people’s eyes to the fact that even though fraud and corruption is all around us, it can be kept under control. Our aim is to provide innovative tools and techniques to deal with it, as well as the confidence to spot it early. After 18 months as a board member, I was elected Chairman in 2007. For more information on the company see www.conpart.no. Following 6 years as a non-exec I relinquished the position to make way for new ideas and impulses. Still proud to be connected with Conpart on an unofficial basis as they develop into a world player in micro-polymer particles for the electronic industry!
