Hubert studied business administration at the Karl Franzens University of Graz, where he also earned a Dr.’s degree with distinction. He also holds an engineer´s degree and is a “Certified Supervisory Expert” (CSE). After obtaining his master’s degree, Hubert spent three years working with a leading micro electronics firm (RFID), where he was responsible for the finance department and finished his PhD during this period. After a postgraduate in the US he entered through Nestlé the consumer goods industry 1993. From 1997 he continued for another 10 years in the consumer goods industry in various managing functions in the BBAG /Heineken Group, such as a country manager in Austria and Germany and as a managing commercial director of the European headquarter for Pago fruit juices, market leader in the European HoReCa business. In 2007 Hubert entered the building materials and services industry by joining one of the leading global solar thermal firms owned by the VKR group (Velux)and became the COO of the firm’s headquarter for Europe in charge of the sales companies, procurement and logistics. In 2012 Hubert was appointed as managing director for a leader in the building materials market with a strong South-East European footprint, known for the leading European building material brand „Baumit“. The company was owned by the Wietersdorfer group. From 2017 until 2020 Hubert was executive board member of Saint-Gobain Isover G+H AG in Germany and also at Saint-Gobain Rigips GmbH from 2019. In May 2020 Hubert returned to Austria taking over the position as a COO in the Doka Group, being in regional charge for the European market and globally for supply chain, engineering, operations and sales.
