Cameroon
Biotech entrepreneur and physician-scientist with over 20 years of leadership at the intersection of vaccine R&D, clinical research, epidemic intelligence, and global health systems across Africa and globally. I have a proven track record of designing, securing, and leading multi-country research programs exceeding $50M in funding, advancing vaccine development and strengthening epidemic preparedness for priority pathogens. CEO and Co-Founder of Anzarna Biotech, a next-generation biotechnology company developing RNA platform technologies to accelerate vaccine innovation, oncology therapeutics, and rapid-response solutions for emerging infectious diseases. My work is centered on bridging translational science, clinical development, and ecosystem building to advance African-led biomedical innovation. Previously, I served as Senior Epidemiologist and Head of the ENABLE Lassa Research Programme at CEPI, where I led large-scale, multi-country research investments across West Africa, contributing to vaccine development strategies, clinical trial design, surveillance systems, and real-world evidence generation for epidemic-prone diseases. I serve as Founder and CEO of TRIFT Alliance, an initiative focused on building African-led platforms for clinical research, epidemic intelligence, and vaccine readiness, driving locally grounded, globally relevant solutions through equitable partnerships and scalable systems. I am Founder and CEO of TRIFT Innovation (TRIFT Academy), a multi-country training and consulting platform focused on building capacity in clinical research, digital health, and data science, while creating talent pipelines that connect African professionals to global research and innovation opportunities. My expertise spans vaccinology, epidemiology, RNA platform technologies, clinical research, and global health strategy. My work focuses on translating complex scientific and epidemiological data into actionable strategies that strengthen pandemic preparedness, accelerate innovation, and build resilient health systems, particularly in low- and middle-income settings. I am particularly interested in advancing integrated approaches that connect climate, ecology, and infectious disease risks to inform next-generation epidemic intelligence and response systems. Open to strategic collaborations, advisory roles, and global partnerships shaping the future of RNA innovation, pandemic preparedness, and equitable access to vaccines and therapeutics.
