Under her leadership, the Bank of Israel granted a license to the first digital bank (after 40 years in which no bank license was granted); Barriers were removed to facilitate the digital transition of banking services, resulting in a much more streamlined and efficient banking system; Payments in Israel transitioned to digital platforms; the Open Banking reform was launched; and the banking system enhanced its corporate governance, particularly in technology and cyber risk management. Hedva holds a Ph.D. in Economics, specializing in Corporate Governance, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her career spans both the private and public sectors, including roles as the Supervisor of Banks in Israel (2015-2020), CRO at Bank Leumi (2010-2015), Israel's representative on the EBRD Board of Directors in London (2005-2008), COO and Deputy CEO at eToro, a global cutting-edge leader in Social Trading (2021-present). She has also served as a lecturer at the Hebrew University, earning recognition as an outstanding lecturer three times, and at the Reichman University. Recognized as one of the most influential women in Israel by Globes and Forbes in 2017 and 2019.
