About

As a senior civil administrator and the current Deputy Governor of Kırklareli, Türkiye, I bring over 26 years of distinguished service in public administration. My career is defined by a unique synthesis of executive leadership and rigorous academic research, focusing on the intersection of public policy, energy security, and international governance. Academic Excellence & International Perspective: My academic foundation is extensive, comprising a PhD in Political Science and Public Administration from Ankara University, as well as multiple master's degrees in public policy, international education, public law, economics, finance, and classical archaeology. Having conducted postdoctoral research at Lancaster University, completed an Executive Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford, and earned a Master's degree at the University of Bristol, I bring a comparative, global perspective to complex policy challenges. Strategic Leadership & Crisis Management Throughout my tenure as a district governor across various regions, I have spearheaded transformative projects in urbanisation, agriculture, and cultural heritage—notably, initiating the archaeological excavation programmes at the Zerzevan and Syedra castles to promote regional tourism. I have a proven track record in crisis coordination and human rights, having been honoured with the Turkey Human Rights Award by the prime ministry and the Social Action Award by the British Council. Under my leadership, our administration achieved the highest citizen satisfaction ranking in Türkiye via the CİMER platform. Author & Energy Policy Expert In April 2026, I published my latest book, "Türkiye as an Energy Hub for Europe: Dynamics After the Russian Invasion of Ukraine" (Ankara University Press), which analyses the shifting geopolitical landscape and Türkiye's pivotal role in European energy security. My research in this area continues to inform my engagement with international policy forums and academic networks. Core Competencies: Public Policy & Governance: Strategic planning and multi-layered administration. Energy Geopolitics: Specialist insight into EU–Türkiye energy dynamics. Crisis & Disaster Management: Proven leadership in emergency coordination and social resilience. Cultural Heritage & Tourism: Integrating historical preservation into local economic development. I am committed to evidence-based policymaking and ethical public leadership. I welcome collaborations with international institutions, think tanks, and academic circles dedicated to governance reform and global cooperation.
