The master’s-level seminar „Methods and Tools of Policy Consulting“ provides participants with a thorough overview of the concepts, methods, and tools used in policy consulting. The course aims to prepare participants to analyze complex political issues, develop well-supported recommendations, and communicate them effectively to policymakers. Using a combination of theoretical foundations, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants acquire the skills necessary for a successful career in policy consulting.
The course ‘Opposition Work in the German Bundestag’ aims to provide a practical understanding of the opposition’s roles, the parliamentary tools it uses to carry them out, and how it develops and advances its strategic goals. Participants will learn about parliamentary questioning, explore the role of lobbying, and analyze how parties communicate with traditional and social media. This knowledge is crucial for future work in or with parliament. The course teaches the art of politics and helps participants apply their existing knowledge.
Supported the re-establishment of the liberal faction after its re-entry into the Bundestag. Drafted and coordinated all parliamentary initiatives, including proposals, major and minor interpellations, motions, rapporteur meetings, and more. Topics included alternative propulsion systems, e-mobility, and the role of distribution system operators (DSOs), as well as e-fuels, aerospace, shipping, infrastructure expansion, EU transport and energy policies (Clean Energy Directive, RED II), and other key issues in transport policy and digital infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia.
