RESEARCH SCIENTIST, KING'S COLLEGE LONDON Dr Emily Leeming is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at King's College London, where her work focuses on how diet interacts with the gut microbiome to influence health. Her current study is the EAT-FIBRE randomised controlled trial, exploring how increasing fibre intake and fibre diversity impacts gut health, as part of the Harvard-led PROSPECT Cancer Grand Challenges programme, a £20 million international research programme investigating early-onset colorectal cancer. She is based at the Department of Twin Research, St Thomas's Hospital. Dr Emily publishes in high impact factor journals including Nature Medicine, Gut and Genome Medicine, and presents regularly at international academic conferences. She holds a PhD in diet, the gut microbiome and health, an MSc in Dietetics, a BSc in Nutrition, and is a Registered Dietitian. Her first career was as a private chef on superyachts.
