The short life story I realized early on that health data is unique; it cannot sit in a vacuum. Unlike other data points, health data only generates commercial and clinical value when it is mapped to the biological systems it represents. This connectivity is the foundation for successful drug commercialization and optimized patient outcomes. Here is the journey so far: The Molecular Foundation: Earned a BSc in Molecular Biology—my first exposure to the mechanics of precision medicine and how individual biological variance dictates treatment success. The PhD Deep Dive: Completed my doctorate in Infectious Diseases & Global Health. This provided my first true understanding of the provenance of different datasets, the critical nature of their inclusion (or non-inclusion), and the resulting impact on health outcomes. The Front Lines: Deployed with the WHO to West Africa to manage data and research during the Ebola epidemic, seeing firsthand how data gaps affect real-world responses. The Strategy Phase: Developed commercial and scientific insight at elite strategy firms L.E.K. Consulting and Guidehouse. The Policy Impact: Led high-level advocacy with the European Commission, shaping global digital health and research policy. The Innovation: Founded SökerData to solve the problem of fragmented, non-representative health data. The Scale: Built a platform providing aggregated, multi-contextual data to global pharmaceutical discovery teams. It’s been a journey. Through SökerData, we help R&D leads and pharmaceutical marketers optimize their market access routes. By connecting Real-World Evidence (RWE) to biological systems, we start by using RWE to support the validation of novel drug targets in patient populations and then enable more precise biomarker identification and accelerated regulatory approval. By centering data around biological systems, we move beyond static figures to create a more efficient path to market and ensure that therapies are optimized for the diverse populations they are intended to serve. If you are a Pharma R&D Lead or a Biotech Founder looking to leverage Real-World Evidence to secure Market Access and ensure superior Patient Outcomes through data that reflects true biological complexity, reach out. If you want to understand the mechanics of data impact, I produce resources analyzing how the provenance, presence, or absence of specific datasets dictates the success of biological modeling and the efficiency of drug commercialization. A UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. Smart Works Greater Manchester opened in June 2015 with a vision of bringing the dressing and interview coaching service to women in our region. After a year of operation, we have seen almost 250 women and are proud to say that of those we have been able to contact, over 70% have succeeded at getting a job.
