Shigehalli, a remote village in Karnataka, lacked basic infrastructure such as mobile signal coverage, an all-season road, and basic medical facilities. To address these challenges, we established the Shigehalli Sangha with the aim of improving infrastructure and fostering cultural and sports activities throughout the village. In my capacity within the Sangha, I have spearheaded the implementation of the following infrastructure initiatives in Shigehalli: Installation of FTTH broadband connection Establishment of a BSNL 4G tower Setting up an election voting booth Established Indian Post to Shigehalli Introduction of home delivery services for gas cylinders All Season Road facility Public Transportation convenience Formation of a cultural association to promote cultural activities within the community.
Yakshagana is an art form of Karnataka that combines music, dance, vibrant costumes, language, and facial expressions. At Shree Kalleshwara Yaksha Mitra Mandali in Shigehalli, we have been showcasing this art for over 75 years across Karnataka. Currently, I serve as the main artist and secretary of this association.
