Levande is a leading provider of retirement communities in Australia with over 9,000 residents, across 59 communities in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and ACT. It is owned by global investment firm EQT and is Chaired by David Gonski AC. The CFO role reports to the CEO and is responsible for all financial matters as well as digital & technology, procurement, project management and optimisation of the property portfolio.
Scope Australia is one of the largest disability service providers in Australia. It operates across Victoria and New South Wales in over 425 locations delivering a range of services including Supported Independent Living, Employment Services, Therapy and Day & Lifestyle Programs. In FY23 it supported ~5,600 people, employed ~7000 staff and generated ~$600m in revenue. The CTO role reported to the CEO and had responsibility to design and deliver a multi-year transformation program aimed at ensuring long-term financial sustainability and improved service quality.
Delivered permanent extension of Ramsay Connect Joint Venture, improved operational performance and upgraded core systems including in the Beyond Blue Support Service. The role reported to the CEO Home Health and had full P&L responsibility with approx. 250 staff.
Headed up the CFO and Commercial, Finance & Strategy function for IAL covering home care, retirement villages, residential aged care, community allied health & nursing, dental clinics and telephonic health support. IAL generated $600 million revenue and had 5,500 employees. The role reported to the CEO of IAL and had 100 reports across commercial finance, accounts receivable, business intelligence and operational performance improvement, PMO, IT systems, and property & procurement. Delivered substantial ~$100m EBITDA turnaround in performance (FY22 Revenue $609m vs FY18 Revenue $423m; FY22 EBITDA $98m vs FY18 EBITDA $3m loss).
Responsible for group strategy development, strategic planning, cash flow and capital management.
Headed up Strategy and M&A for the Group. Primary Health Care had 12,000 employees and generated $1.7 billion revenue across four divisions: pathology, diagnostic imaging, medical & dental centres (including IVF) and GP software. Reported to the Group CEO and was a member of Group Leadership Team. Led strategy development and annual planning, divestment of non core assets, and new business growth initiatives including acquisitions and JVs.
