- Over 15 years of R&D experience, specializing in automotive product development, system integration, and technology innovation across combustion, electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered vehicles. - Former Assistant Professor at Beykent University; Ph.D. research focused on engine cooling system design, thermal modeling, and validation using simulation and engine test bench data. - Served as Engine Design Section Chief for over 5 years, leading new engine development and upgrade projects; managed supplier and quality processes for over 200 components. - Hands-on experience in engine test bench modernization and validation planning; involved in full-cycle powertrain development with global OEMs and Tier-1 partners (Cummins, Deutz, MAN, Ford, ZF, Voith, Allison). - Lead roles in alternative powertrain projects, including electric, hybrid, and hydrogen ICE vehicle programs. - Extensive experience in establishing systems engineering processes from the ground up, currently leading ASPICE-based ALM and MBSE integration at Togg. - Lead coordinator and project manager in several successful EU Horizon-funded projects, including EFFEREST and HiVEP, involving 10+ international partners across academia and industry. - Responsible for company-wide technology roadmap development, innovation strategy planning, and external R&D collaborations including universities and EU consortia. - Early achievement: represented Turkey in the Shell Eco-Marathon with a hydrogen-powered vehicle; 3rd place in Turkish Solar Car Challenge in 2008.
Leading the definition and execution of system engineering processes, including requirements management, decomposition, traceability, validation and verification planning, and change management in compliance with ASPICE standards. Establishing and maintaining a company-wide systems engineering framework using Codebeamer ALM tool, including the definition of Design Validation Plans (DVP) and Verification & Validation Plans (VVP). Planning and facilitating cross-functional technical reviews and project milestone meetings; preparing comprehensive technical reports for stakeholders and management. Driving feature-based development by aligning customer and stakeholder requirements with architectural models, and identifying deviations between functional specifications and quote documents. Refining system architecture collaboratively with software, hardware, mechanical, safety, and test engineering teams; ensuring system-level consistency and defining inter-system interfaces. Developing and maintaining key systems engineering documentation, such as Interface Control Documents (ICD), System Requirements Documents (SRD), System Design Descriptions (SDD), and Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDD). Leading system-level FMEA sessions and contributing to design improvement by supporting fault diagnostics, root cause analysis, and system test execution activities. Supporting EU-funded R&D projects as project manager, with responsibility for technology roadmap development, partner coordination across multiple countries, and reporting project progress and results.
