Kafr ash Shaykh, Egypt
I'm a General Practitioner from Egypt, building a deliberate path toward a career in Orthopaedic Surgery, specifically Orthopaedic Trauma and Sports Medicine, with a focus on fracture management, arthroscopy, joint preservation, and return-to-performance care. I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Kafr Elsheikh University in 2023 and completed my internship in 2026. Since then, I've maintained regular clinical exposure in the Orthopaedic Emergency Departments at several general hospitals, working through fracture triage, emergency trauma assessment, and the day-to-day decision-making demands of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care. Alongside clinical practice, I pursue continuing medical education through international orthopaedic webinars and coursework in trauma and arthroplasty, including the 22-month UNITAR/COSECSA Surgical Foundations programme, alongside orthopaedic webinars, international congresses, and EACCME-accredited CME activities. I'm currently building a structured case logbook, completing research methodology training while preparing my first research project, and learning German. Germany — and specifically an Assistenzarzt position in Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie — is a clear target, though I remain open to the right opportunity across Europe or the Gulf more broadly. I welcome connections with orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, researchers, educators, and fellow IMGs on a similar path, to exchange cases, share what we're learning, and sharpen each other's thinking.
