With more than 30 years experience in Asia-Pacific, I am currently SVP, APAC at Chubb Insurance. Prior to this role, I was Head of the Major Accounts Division where our experienced team of dedicated underwriters, global client executives, claims specialists and risk engineers provide market leading local, regional and global solutions to many of the world's largest and most diverse companies. My career in the insurance industry spans nearly 40 years, commencing work as an underwriter with Royal Reinsurance in London, handling facultative Construction and Erection All Risks business and claims. I then joined a boutique loss adjusting firm to work on construction claims in Europe and Middle East before being relocated to Hong Kong in 1992 to handle major projects throughout Asia. I then joined Gibbs Insurance Consultants in 1995, subsequently renamed as HSBC Insurance Brokers and moved through roles of increasing responsibility before being promoted to CEO for HSBC Insurance Brokers, Asia Pacific, in 2006. In 2010, I joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson with responsibilities for managing their businesses in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam before joining ACE Insurance as President for Hong Kong & Macau in 2014.
