I lead technology, data and transformation in the housing and public sector, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes for residents, citizens and communities. My work centres on a simple principle: technology should improve how services feel to the people who rely on them. Whether that is faster response times, clearer communication, greater accessibility, or more reliable services, I focus on ensuring digital and data capabilities translate into real-world impact. At Southern Housing, I lead a large-scale technology function within one of the UK’s largest housing providers. My focus has been to reposition technology from a reactive support function into a core part of the business, shaping how services are designed and delivered. This has enabled tangible improvements, including significantly increasing complaint review capacity through automation, knowledge management and AI, reducing delays and improving service responsiveness for residents. Alongside this, I have introduced greater transparency in how technology is costed and delivered, supporting more informed decisions on value for money and service outcomes. Previously, as Chief Data Officer at Money and Pensions Service, I led the development of national digital services designed around citizen need. A key focus was ensuring inclusion for those unable to access private-sector solutions, embedding accessibility research, usability design and plain English communication into service delivery. This resulted in services better aligned to underserved users and improved access for citizens who would otherwise have been excluded. Alongside my executive role, I bring board-level experience across the housing, charity and professional sectors. I am a Non-Executive Director at Cambridge Housing Society, where I serve as Board EDI Champion and sit on the HR and Governance Committee. I also Chair the Audit and Risk Committee at AbilityNet, providing oversight of risk, assurance and governance, and contribute to the Technology Committee at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, advising on technology strategy and transformation. These roles give me a broad perspective across delivery, governance and strategy, strengthening my ability to operate at both executive and board level. I am particularly interested in how organisations can: > design services around customer and resident need >use data to improve decision-making and inclusion >embed technology into the core of business operations >balance innovation with governance, risk and trust
