About

As the Founder, Chairman, CEO, and President of CRG Medical, Inc. d/b/a Pegwin, a digital health IT company, I lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that leverage predictive AL/ML technology to prevent patient harm and enhance healthcare quality. With over 25 years of experience in the field of patient safety, I have a proven track record of creating forward-thinking digital safety platforms that address unmet needs, improve outcomes, and add value to the hospital's bottom line. My passion for patient safety stems from my diverse background as a former Israel Air Force pilot, an aviation safety and mishap investigation expert, a certified quality improvement associate, and a former chair of the ASQ Healthcare Division. My skills and knowledge are forged in systems thinking, safety processes management, and organizational change management that have been applied to design, automate, and optimize patient safety evaluation systems for hospitals and patient safety organizations (PSOs). My consulting role to hospitals is on integrating the electronic medical record (EMR) at the point of care with the Pegwin Insights Patient Risk Profile platform. Our team won two (2) ONC for Healthcare IT Challenge 2.0 awards with the Purple Button Mobile App for the best patient safety reporting system and the '3-Click' Solution for detecting and reporting EMR safety issues. My mission is to foster a culture of high reliability healthcare that combines advanced technology with the human element. Our mission is to transform patient safety through predictive AI/ML technology. With a steadfast focus on innovation, we spearhead initiatives that blend advanced tech with human insights to prevent harm and enhance healthcare quality. Our efforts are geared towards predictive modeling that addresses critical unmet needs, enabling better outcomes and heightened patient satisfaction. Our latest innovation is designed to bridge the gap in transitions of care. I am a co-founder of DigitalDoctors@Home, LLC, a community-based digital technology healthcare provider without walls, delivering total care management to the most vulnerable patients. As a Senior VP Healthcare at Predixxa.com, my extensive expertise in systems optimization is leveraged to consult on Organizational Change Management (OCM) and the integration of Patient Safety Evaluation Systems. My approach to patient safety is rooted in a deep understanding of process improvement and a commitment to empowering hospitals to improve productivity, and boost their bottom line.

DigitalDoctors@Home is a community-based technology healthcare provider without walls, delivering total care management (TCM) to the most vulnerable patients from their living rooms - for life. We train lay caregivers to become competent Community Healthcare Workers (CHW) and serve as clinical staff. We connect them to care-coordinating teams and licensed healthcare providers. Patients are connected from their livingrooms to providers and our community-based clinical staff through real-time 24/7/365 predictive analytics, alerting our medical staff to potential issues pre-empitively. This results in better patient outcomes, and healthier patients while lowering the total costs of healthcare. DigitalDoctors@Home delivers total care management (TCM), bridging the gap in transitions of care, by providing high-touch and high-tech patient care. By introducing this 21st Century technology into the homes of every patient, we maximize the quality of care through prevention, early intervention, and management of their health. With this technology we are able to detect downward trends in a patient's health and through timely alerts provide early intervention, thus eliminating unncessary Emergency Department visits and/or hospital admissions and prevent their corresponding costs. Our Total Care Management (TCM) Patient Risk Profiles provide unparalleled data integration achieved through comprehensive data inputs from every in-person touch of our patients at home, and the seamless integration of their Social Determinants of Health (SDoH), Chronic Care Management (CCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) all collectively captured through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This robust data provides a holistic view of each patient's health. We believe that health is not the absence of disease, but a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. We are open to collaborative partnerships. "Without Data, You Are Just Another Person With An Opinion" W. Edwards Deming

  • Partner at CRG Medical, LLP
    2000 - 2003 · 3 yrs

CRG Medical, LLP was a partnership created after publication of the Institute of Medicine Report, 'To Err Is Human' in 1999 where it was documented that as many as 98,000 lives were lost each year in the US due to preventable patient harm. The IOM recommended using the aviation model for reducing these losses by 50% within 5 years. The partnership created an Artificial Intelligence driven predictive modeling tool that could quantify the probability and degree of confidence that a change in a process or procedure would change the potential risk for patient harm towards achieving this patient safety goal.
