About

Having grown up in a bi-lingual house (English and Pennsylvania Dutch), a love of languages has always been a part of my life. Thanks to social media and platforms like LinkedIn, I am now able to help preserve a minority ethnic language on a global scale. When I am not in the classroom, I am actively working on all things PA Dutch. Through my website (padutch101.com) and my YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/dmadenford), I am able to pass on my love for our dialect and give people an opportunity to connect with the cultural, historical, and linguistic heritage of the Pennsylvania Dutch. Also, you can join me for honest conversation on my podcast: Doug's Front Porch (dougsfrontporch.buzzsprout.com).
