I build digital and organisational systems that complex projects and capital programmes run on. In every role I've held, I end up building the same thing without being asked: the dashboard, the data model, the methodology, the knowledge base that turns a sprawling programme into something leadership can actually see and steer. That sits on six years of project management, digital, and strategy advisory in the built environment at Arup, on an architecture and construction foundation. One example stands for the pattern: for a capital programme across six pharmaceutical sites—100+ projects, 800+ work packages—I built the Power Query consolidation engine and Power BI dashboard that gave leadership their first transparent view of the portfolio, and the project and site teams a tool they could actually work with. The same instinct runs through the rest: an automated assessment platform for a property portfolio across 100+ assets and 15 countries; a market-analysis methodology the German team adopted as its standard; a national timber-construction study for two Irish ministries, presented by two cabinet ministers and now feeding national strategy. How I work: I listen first. Most of my best systems started as careful scope and concept work. Actually drawing out what a team needs, often on paper, before designing the digital process or tool around it. And I get productive in unfamiliar tools and subjects fast: Power BI/Excel/Power Query and Power Automate are my default kit, AI-assisted workflows increasingly so. What's most important is, however, making the results something the people who depend on them can actually use. After years of advising, what I want now is to own delivery end-to-end. To build and run the operating system, not hand over a recommendation and leave. I'm drawn to mission-driven organisations in the built environment, climate, and the circular economy, and to the public sector. Construction and real estate are where I'm most at home; building the strategy, data, tools, and processes that make them work better is what I do.
