35+ years of EMS experience. Performed the duties of Fire Paramedic, Paramedic In Charge, Ambulance Commander, Paramedic Field Chief, and Assistant Deputy Chief Paramedic. During my career, I have worked in the Field (mostly on the West, Northwest, Northeast, & Southeast areas) and have been detailed to EMS Training, Support & Logistics Division, and the Medical Administration and Regulatory Compliance Division (MARC). In the MARC Division I created monthly EMS training content for all CFD members and collaborated with various outside Agencies such as Region 11 EMS system, Chicago Police Department, Center for Disease Control, Physio Control, and Gift of Hope, to name a few. Other duties I performed in MARC were supervision of the Field Training Officers, Internal Affairs Interviews, and assisting in the CFD Simulation Center. I was a Paramedic student preceptor for 15+years and a CFD candidate trainer for approximately 12 years. I continue to mentor and train EMS members as a Field Chief on and off-duty. Recently ended my tenure on the Chicago Fire Department as the Assistant Deputy Chief Paramedic of the EMS Training Academy.
