In my role of psychotherapist, in addition to assessment and diagnosis, I have worked directly with a variety of clients from ages 4 through 62 and with issues such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Abuse, Sexual Offenders, Borderline Personality Disorder and various Mood Disorders. Responsible for the evaluation, reporting, and testimony in court for those individuals admitted to the hospital deemed incompetent to stand trial, mentally disordered offenders, not guilty by reason of insanity, or mentally ill prisoners transferred from prison.
Board experts provide consultation to staff, review case materials, prepare written opinions, and when necessary testify at administrative hearings as an expert witness. An expert consultant is a Board licensee possessing technical and professional knowledge gained through advanced education and extensive work experience to form a definitive opinion regarding the standard of care for the profession.
