As a category director I'm responsible for the technical development of JDE single serve coffees; Senseo, Tassimo and Capsules. In this role I'm heading an R&D team of 35 people at two locations.
Within the role of innovation manager I lead consumer and sensory science and the front end innovation cross category in R&D. I've build the innovation funnel to scale in one year, after which the front end innovation function has been spread cross category.
Within the new product development project L'OR EspressO I was responsible for the technical development and upscaling within operations. We launched this product last April in France.
As innovation manager I am responsible for the idea generation and concept development phase of new product development projects. My responsibilities are to give direction to and drive technological innovations, to support marketing driven innovation and to develop tools for idea generation and concept development. One of the main projects at this moment is open innovation development for the global Sara Lee company.
Within the function of senior project leader my responsibility was twofold. I was responsible for technological driven innovations and I was project manager. My responsibility for technological driven innovations lies in the field of identification of potential new product developments and translation of this potential into concrete concepts, prototypes and business potential. I was project manager of an international rationalization project in cooperation with operations and project manager of a process development project for mainstream R&G coffee, which is implemented in our factory in Brazil.
