The head of Global Alliance Management leads a team of senior BD&AM professional responsible for optimizing the value of Merck KGaA/EMD Serono partnerships and minimizing the risk of Research, Development and Commercial Alliances. He provides leadership to a diverse portfolio of alliances and ensures industry best practices are consistently implemented to position Merck KGaA/EMD Serono as a strategic partner of choice in the industry.
The Alliance is anchored around the development of Bintrafusp Alfa a novel bifunctional immuno-oncology agent. The position has a cross functional mandate including Finance, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning and drives decision making and strategic alignment between two complex global organizations.
The position is the chief of staff of the CEO of Merck Healthcare. He acts as the thought partner to the Healthcare executive committee and drives large global cross functional initiatives to successful completion. The chief of staff drives strategic alignment across the organization and maintains the global strategic road map.
The role is the CFO of the Franchises and finance business partner of the EVP and Chief Strategy Officer. He works along the value chain from R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial to drive performance and ensure strategic and operational alignment across the organization. - Leader of the finance team in charge of the global Oncology, Neurology, Fertility and Primary Care franchises. - P&L accountability across the matrix organization including R&D, Commercial and Manufacturing functions. - Globally responsible for the long term strategic planning and R&D portfolio management processes - Provides Finance leadership to early and late stage licensing, as well as Alliance Management of Strategic Partnership. The Head of FP&A manages financial overview and assessment to support the steering of the division.
