Susanne Kaufmann™ is an Austrian natural skincare brand that has recently been acquired by Manzanita Capital (e.g. Diptyque, Byredo), a London-based private equity firm. The brand, with offices in Germany, Austria, and the UK is already well established in Europe. Uncompromisingly natural. Consistently result-focused. Susanne Kaufmann™ offers a range of exceptional, results-orientated, and scientifically proven natural skin and body care that promotes a powerful sense of wellbeing. Developed in collaboration with a team of pharmacists and dermatologists, Susanne’s vision has grown into an extensive collection of skin-specific formulas – targeted treatments designed to address the full spectrum of common skin concerns and in turn, help to re-establish equilibrium.
Focus: brand development (M·A·C Cosmetics) I developed an expansion strategy for M·A·C Cosmetics for the German market which was approved throughout the EMEA region and implemented successfully. Part of the strategy was the establishment of the Expansion Manager position for which I was selected and regularly exceeded the key goals of the brand. My focus was business development, consumer coverage (multichannel), and managing the retail portfolio. Responsible for the brand distribution in the German Market, I identified risks and opportunities along with growth drivers and analyzed the profitability of strategic options. Project management: In cooperation with architects, store designers, and retail partners, I coordinated the opening of 35 new locations, completed 10 counter relaunches, and created an innovative new store journey building on a new store design as well as introducing digital customer experiences. | I developed and launched a multi-channel strategy while ensuring a sustainable evaluation/control of the implemented measures.
Focus: brand performance management (M·A·C Cosmetics) Brand performance management including brand P&Ls (NS, COG, OPEX, and NOP). I achieved budget plan targets by monthly reviewing key results and ensured that issues are correctly addressed.
Focus: support to the Brand Manager and the Sales Team (M·A·C Cosmetics) Extensive portfolio of national and international visits, meetings and events as well as promotions ranging from retail sales to sales presentations.
