With a focus on early childhood development and a Master of Arts in Teaching, my journey in education has led me to the School of Science and Technology, where I embrace the role of a Primary Teacher. Here, our team is dedicated to nurturing a passion for learning in the youngest of scholars, ensuring a foundation for future academic success. The skills honed over the past 1.5 years at The PREP Schools - fostering relationships, crafting engaging content, and managing classrooms with a tailored approach - are now channeled into creating a vibrant educational experience at SST. My commitment extends beyond the classroom, partnering with parents and colleagues to support each child's unique educational journey.
As an experienced junior prekindergarten teacher, my role is to create a safe and engaging learning environment for young children. I have worked with children aged 3-5 and have a strong understanding of early childhood development. My primary responsibility is to create and implement lesson plans that are both fun and educational. I ensure that each child in my classroom is receiving individualized attention and care, adapting to their unique needs as necessary. Additionally, I place great importance on effective communication with parents and guardians, regularly providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns they may have. Overall, I am a patient, compassionate, and dedicated teacher who is committed to supporting the growth and development of each child in my classroom.
As an experienced 7th-grade teacher, my primary responsibility is to create and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards. I use a variety of teaching strategies to engage and challenge my students, and I am skilled at differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse classroom. I actively monitor my students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents/guardians. I believe that fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment is crucial to student success, and I work to create a space where students feel safe, respected, and supported. Collaboration is critical to my teaching practice, and I enjoy working with other teachers and school staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs. I also stay up-to-date with developments in educational technology and incorporate these tools into my teaching as appropriate. As an experienced 7th-grade teacher, I am committed to providing my students with the best possible educational experience and setting them up for success in and out of the classroom.
