In the era of big data, I believe that the human is an indispensable asset to identifying and understanding data patterns, and must go hand in hand with the recent advances in data mining and machine learning. I am a computer scientist and hold a PhD in data analysis and visualization. I develop, research, and implement methods to make sense of vast amounts of multivariate data by combining interaction-rich interfaces with state-of-the-art data mining and machine learning approaches. I have extensive expertise in the following areas: visual analytics, visualization, human computer interaction, development and execution of user studies, data mining/machine learning, and computer graphics.
