About

I thrive on helping clients solve knotty corporate challenges. I develop communications strategies that succeed, give pragmatic advice grounded in experience, and am highly client-centric. I have advised senior business leaders in infrastructure, energy, transport, financial services, public services and healthcare. I first joined WA’s predecessor company as a junior consultant in 2002. I had previously worked briefly in political media and for an arts charity. I have been active in pro-bono charity work and community politics, as a councillor.

Together with two other aspiring municipally-minded young men (!), Andy Jones and Charlie Napier, secured a significant majority in Fulham Broadway, a ward previously considered unwinnable for us. We managed this by meeting as many people as possible - rich and poor - and listening to and acting on their concerns about the local area.

I was part of a great campaigning team working within this prominent national charity, where I successfully lobbied for free admission to museums and galleries in the UK. My work included: -Crafting strong and compelling arguments that ensured political decision-makers could easily understand and act on what we had to say. -Devising and implementing political contact programmes that got us in front of the most important people relating to our concerns. Media relations. -Building an alliance of other campaign groups across the visual arts sector, including the wonderful Sir Denis Mahon.
