I'm a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at USC expected to graduate in 2026. I have experience applying structured thinking and data analysis to problems in a variety of contexts including state and federal tax compliance, consumer lending, antitrust litigation, and research laboratory settings. I've applied multiple computing languages to problems in these contexts including Python, SQL, SAS, Javascript, Matlab, R, and C. Solving challenging problems that matter and interacting with people are what I find most fulfilling about my work. My hobbies and interests include beach volleyball, fitness, travel, and keeping up with Boston and D.C. sports.
-Executed statistical analyses using Python, SQL, and Excel to inform business decisions at lending institutions. -Communicated results clearly to team members and clients.
-Graded student homework for Dartmouth Mathematics courses including MATH 60, Honors Probability, and MATH 70, Elements of Multivariate Statistics & Statistical Learning.
-Worked closely with Professor Jimmy Wu and graduate students in the Wu Organic Chemistry Lab. -Achieved total synthesis of novel natural products with potential medicinal applications. -Analyzed spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR, mass spec., and IR.
-Worked with Professor Magdalena Bezanilla at her lab in Hanover and at MBL Wood's Hole -Developed mathematical model in R to analyze fluctuations in the concentration of ionic calcium key to growth dynamics in P. Patens. -Carried out biochemical experiments in collaboration with graduate students and lab technicians.
-Tutored over a dozen students in Mathematics and Chemistry courses throughout high school and college. -Courses were middle school to college level; students had a broad range of abilities.
