I am a clinician, researcher, educator, advocate, and consultant with an array of interests and areas of expertise. My professional journey has provided me the ability. My clinical career has been largely dedicated to assessing and treating mental health problems in veterans and active duty military service members, including PTSD and adjustment to co-occurring chronic medical problems. As a clinical scientist and consultant, I have worked with individuals, organizations, and private sector clients on a variety of projects, including grant writing, research methodology and statistical consulting, mental health advocacy, cross-cultural/cross-national test development, primary care behavioral health integration, measurement-based program development, COVID-19 health outcomes and disparities research, mental health among incarcerated individuals. I continuously seek opportunities that allow me to apply my training and experience in new ways - where I can learn while contributing, and where I can bring advocacy, inclusivity, and a keen scientific lens to the table. UpHold Our Troops is a non-profit organization that aims to positively influence the mental health crisis among veterans. UpHold Our Troops provides scholarship support for those veterans, active duty military, and family members who would like to become psilocybin facilitators.
Conducere Consultants is a black-owned, female-owned organizational development firm that utilizes anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices and tools to ensure equity for all. - Provide methodological and statistical consulting in the areas of healthcare, primary care behavioral health integration, and cross-national assessment. Projects to date: -Co-author of application for funded research grant, “NeuroCOVID: Determinants of Brain Health in Diverse Older Adults” ($100,000; Alzheimer’s Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology Fund Research Exploring COVID-19’s Impact on the brain in diverse populations). Primary statistics and methodology consultant on grant. - Development and pilot testing consultant on adaptation of an adult psychological assessment tool for integration into e-learning platforms used in Kenyan school children. (cross-national, cross-cultural, and cross-development methodology, piloting, and validation).
