Responsibilities & Achievements - Sole infrastructure engineer managing production systems end-to-end without a dedicated support team. - Designed, maintained and continuously improved a Debian-based Linux infrastructure. - Operated and improved a Proxmox + Ceph cluster, providing high availability and fault-tolerant storage. - Provisioned and supported hundreds of virtual machines for client projects, many running in long-term production. - Administered GitLab and GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline design, automation and maintenance. - Deployed and supported production web and media infrastructure: Nginx, Apache, PHP-FPM, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Memcached, supervisord, MinIO (S3-compatible object storage), integrations with external S3 and CDN providers, and Janus WebRTC media server for real-time communication projects. - Performed performance tuning and troubleshooting of services and databases, identified bottlenecks and improved reliability and uptime of production environments. - Managed networking, VPN access and backup systems. - Handled incident response, root cause analysis and service recovery.
