Working for a more sustainable food system is what is at the heart of what I do and goes beyond career progression. With 12 years of diverse experience across Germany, Portugal, the UK, and Norway, I consider myself a flexible allrounder with a particular strength in building structures and holistic thinking. Integrity, reliability and sense of responsibility form the basis of all of my relationships, and have made me a valued player whatever team I have worked in.
Currently, I am working with the NFSA's contributions to the social mission of sustainable feed (Norwegian: Samfunnsoppdraget for bærekraftig fôr). More specifically, I have an interactive role listening to the industry's requirements and bottlenecks, and imparting regulations at conferences and differnet meeting places. In addition, I try to ensure good dialogue with research institutes by discussing projects meant to generate data and underpin regulatory development. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority plays a key role in promoting sustainable feed by working for a regulatory framework ensuring that biological resources are reused in non-toxic cycles, as high as possible in the value hierarchy. Our goal is to promote the sustainable production of Norwegian feed raw materials and strengthen national self-sufficiency. To achieve this, we must ensure that regulations do not create unnecessary barriers and that they are clear and easy to understand through effective guidance. This requires good dialogue with the industry and scientific communities, as well as active participation in regulatory processes in the EU, while maximizing our efforts nationally.
Upon joining the Group Finance team, I established the Sustainability & GHG Controller position as a permanent role, responsible for managing the group's climate accounts. I also contributed to the development of various global ESG and sustainability initiatives, including: * Emission reduction projects * Diverse ESG standards, frameworks, rankings & indices, etc. (e.g. CDP, GRI, TCFD, SASB, GSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, Coller FAIRR Index, SBTi, ASC, and more) * Green bonds * Financial reporting Grieg Seafood ASA is one of the world’s leading fish farming companies, specializing in Atlantic salmon. Headquartered in Bergen, Norway and with farming facilities in Norway and Canada, the group employs more than 800 people and has an annual production target of 84 000 tonnes gutted weight in 2025.
As a Project Manager at Seafood Innovation, I have been developing different products and events for the cluster and the seafood industry within the cluster's strategic areas sustainability and circular economy, feed, and digitalization. I am especially proud of my pivotal role in building an entirely new report series called ‘Industry Insight’, which included three comprehensive reports on future feed ingredients, data sharing, and plastics in the aquaculture industry. NCE Seafood Innovation is a leading business cluster within the seafood industry, with more than 150 partners and members representing the whole seafood value chain. The cluster plays a central role in contributing to the sustainable growth and development of the seafood industry. It pushes projects, provides services, and hosts meeting arenas to mobilize forces for collective efforts toward a sustainable seafood industry.
With my practical sustainability reporting and GHG accounting experiences, I was allowed to contribute to Emisoft's governance and strategy processes as a shadowing board member in the course of the Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry's "Styrekandidaten"-program. Styrekandidaten (Norwegian: Board Candidate) is a development program that is supposed to contribute to making more young professionals (20 - 40 years) qualified for professional board positions. Selected candidates receive the oppotunity to gather valuable board experiences in one organization during a one-year period. The program is developed and managed by Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bergen Næringsråd).
Between my bachelor's and master's studies, I gained valuable experience as an Executive Assistant, taking on a responsible role at a young age. I was responsible for preparing reports and presentations for the executive board, supporting price negotiations, and overseeing the business restaurants through monthly key figure analyses. I contributed to both operational and strategic management tasks, including the preparation of tender documents and proposals, particularly for public tenders. Additionally, I played a key role in quality management, developing new processes aligned with DIN ISO 9001 and HACCP audits by TÜV Rheinland. My responsibilities also included conducting statistical analyses, drafting and amending service and catering contracts, and launching a new intranet to digitize ordering and timekeeping systems. The Menü 2000 Catering Röttgers GmbH & Co. KG encompasses more than 240 business restaurants operated in well-known companies and authorities, such as Meyer Werft, Arcelor Mittal, Sparkasse, Mercedes Benz, edding, BMW and Mitsubishi and caters for more than 60,000 people every day. Menu 2000 employs more than 1,100 qualified members of staff in all of Germany and, being headquartered in Papenburg, is therefore the largest owner-operated catering company for business catering in Germany.
