About

I come from Almaty, Kazakhstan. At 14 I moved to boarding school in the UK and took my first Computer Science class there. I am now in California, studying the subject I love. Especially interested in Computer Networks. In addition to coursework I explored the field through research and personal projects. I am also curious in technologies of Cyber Security and Operating Systems My most insightful and transforming moments came from conversations with friends from foreign countries. I would love to dedicate my work to improving communication networks and connecting people together.

Workflows for Data Science team - Automated the process of creating and running jobs on a super computer. The team designed image recognition system to be used in fire alert system around California. Training the model with terabytes of images is a resource-demanding job and needs to be run on HPC cluster. However, to run such jobs on a shared system, they need to be properly configured. So my work was to make this tedious configuration task easier. I created a web form that researchers would use to specify key parameters like storage and computational capacity required for the job. Based on the parameters the program containerized the job and deployed it on the super computer. - Technologies used: Python Flask, Docker containers and Kubernetes - Presented my work in meetings and in written reports - Took training courses in HPC system design
