This was an independently organised eight-week summer research placement in ophthalmological immunology at Dr Sunil Chauhan’s lab in the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard University. This developed my skills in cell handling (passaging, freezing, thawing and counting), scientific techniques (ELISA, migration assays, etc.) and academic writing. I was the recipient of the single 2018 US travel bursary ($4000) at Newnham College to fund my project, determined by an application process.
Department of Anatomy, University of Cambridge — Summer 2017 I was selected with nine other students in my year for a two-week internship in the anatomy department at Cambridge. The project involved prosection of an upper limb, through which I learnt techniques and enhanced my dexterity.
