Over 12 years of technology and product leadership at a Swiss life science instrument manufacturer — from requirements definition and R&D prioritization to market launch. I own the global technology and product roadmap across hardware, software, and digital solutions, and prepare decision foundations for the Steering Board and executive leadership. I translate market and customer needs directly into development priorities and take on product ownership in both agile and classical projects. I communicate technical topics clearly and to the point — for management, customers, and internal teams. I take on responsibility where it's needed, also beyond formal roles. Responsible for the global technology and product roadmap across bioreactors, shakers, the bioprocess platform software eve (with open interfaces to third-party devices and LIMS), and the affiliated custom engineering business. Prepares monthly decision foundations for Steering Board priorities and investments in direct collaboration with executive leadership and R&D. In 2024, initiated and co-designed the revision of the NPD process together with the CTO: introduced roadmap governance, resolved resource conflicts, and clearly defined responsibilities between PM and R&D. Coordinated the introduction of the ACT Ecolabel (My Green Lab) for the Multitron in 2025 — now the world's first incubation shaker with this certification — overcoming initial internal skepticism and establishing a new test cycle for the entire device category. Actively contributed to the development of the OPC UA LADS standard (Spectaris working group, Berlin) and communicated the standard to manufacturers and users. Strategically reviewed and focused the IP portfolio; accompanied two new protective rights, one of which was granted in the US (Design Patent US D1,117,319 S).
Developed the bioreactor business into a second strategic pillar of the company. Grew revenue by 35%, order intake by 50%, and margin by 150% in two years. Led a matrix organization of product management, R&D, and operations (~25 people).
Owned strategic development of the company's flagship product Multitron — at the time Infors AG's largest R&D project, with a worldwide launch across two production lines in Switzerland and the US. As product owner, steered a 10-person software and firmware team for the new bioreactor HMI platform. Conceived and implemented the mission-critical CPQ/configuration solution with ERP integration: reduced order entry errors from ~25% to near zero. Maintaining technical ownership to this day, including planning via Azure DevOps and a build pipeline with continuous integration.
Developed lab instrument control software and digital tools for life science instrumentation providers. Managed projects end-to-end from acquisition and requirements through implementation and commercial handling.
Managed two industry cooperations with biopharma companies: combined requirements management, stakeholder communication, and scientific work in a GxP-adjacent environment. Practical experience with analytical methods (HPLC, LC-MS) in the bioprocess context.
