Clinician Scientist & Healthcare executive driving national-level clinical artificial intelligence (AI) & digital health initiatives in Singapore. Has over a decade of experience leading medical affairs and digital transformation in APAC healthcare markets across corporate healthcare services, government/public sector, private equity, and VC-backed environments, in parallel with his practice in Primary Care. Current work includes clinical evaluation of digital health, governance frameworks for generative and agentic AI systems, red-team testing methodologies, and digital transformation of healthcare services. He has successfully scaled clinical GTM strategy for population-level, digitally-enabled healthcare services across Primary care, Mental Health, Ophthalmology, Public health, and other verticals, accumulating deep experience in medical affairs, government affairs, and regulatory affairs. Works directly with software engineering (SWE) teams in matrix environments as lead clinical subject matter expert, partnering ML/AI engineering, UX, policy, legal, and regulatory teams to develop, validate, and deploy clinically safe, high-performing digital health and clinical AI solutions. Completed a PhD in clinical AI implementation and has >50 publications (i10-index 43, h-index 29) on management of digital health information technology systems in medical journals such as JAMA Ophthalmology, Nature Digital medicine, Lancet Digital health, and NEJM AI. He is a twice exited co-founder of 2 digital health start-ups including an online health community AskDr having closed paid contracts with Fortune 500 companies as well as Doctorbell, an enterprise SaaS patient engagement platform (acquired by Mobile-Health Network Solutions, NASDAQ:$MNDR). Particularly interested in questions relating to human computer interaction, scalable oversight, evaluation of agentic clinical AI systems, digital health risk mitigation, and safe integration of AI into complex socio-technical workflows. He has received accolades for contributions to the health technology ecosystem in Asia including being named on the 2018 Forbes 30 under 30 list (Science and Health), awarded the 2019 Commonwealth Fellowship in Innovation from the British High Commission of Singapore (for training at Oxford University and Moorfields Eye Hospital London) & the 2024 Young Southeast Asian Leaders (YSEALI) award from the United States (US) Embassy.
