With 20 years of experience in Contracts Management, Project Controls, Risks, and Commercials, I have consistently endeavored towards optimizing operations and driving profitability through effective management. Managing teams and guiding them through the intricacies of complex mega projects, from inception to completion, is where I find satisfaction and excitement. My professional journey commenced with training on a major infrastructure project, followed by managing contracts and risks on highly challenging cross-country gas pipelines for state-owned entities across diverse locations in South-East Asia. Subsequently, I devoted over a decade to the comprehensive end-to-end management of offshore oil and gas projects, encompassing various types and complexities. Lately, in my capacity as Project Controls and Contracts Director (and Country Head of Project Services), my focus remained on delivery of a diverse suite of complex and highly critical industrial development projects in Malaysia, providing PMC services to major multinational corporations as they establish their captives in South-East Asia. My passion lies in ensuring absolute transparency, clarity, and predictability for clients/stakeholders, ultimately protecting and enhancing the bottom line. I am passionate about aligning major projects in their operations and procedures, aiming to deliver forecasts and EACs without surprises.
Accountable for heading the strategic setup, assurance, delivery governance, and digital transformation of Turner & Townsend’s major projects and programmes across Asia, spanning 13 countries and diverse sectors. Head of Project Services for AtkinsRealis in Malaysia, where I oversaw its integrated Design, Engineering, Project, and Construction Management consulting business within the Industrial vertical. Responsibilities encompassed managing a large team spread across Malaysia, providing Project Controls, Contracts, Commercial and Procurement advisory services, as well as handling Tenders, Risks, Claims, Planning, Construction Management, Interfaces, and other comprehensive solutions tailored for complex industrial projects for various MNC clients. Oversaw the successful delivery of Dexcom’s new CGM Medical Device manufacturing plant in Penang, Malaysia.
Led a dynamic team of 22 professionals, ensuring the success of an ultra-deepwater O&G project in India's KGD6 field. Delivered regular project status updates to the Excom, COO, and CEO. Implemented project processes with strict L2/L3 policy compliance, and conducted detailed analyses of revenue, cost, progress, and schedules. Managed project risks with effective mitigation strategies and led audits to ensure predictability. Developed project strategies and successfully negotiated and closed complex CAR Insurance Claims.
