With nearly 30 years of experience, I specialize in automotive engineering, focusing on powertrain development, calibration, and project management. At AVL Technical Centre, I lead a team of approximately 350 engineers, delivering engineering solutions across gasoline, diesel, alternate fuels, and electrification. My expertise in areas such as calibration, functional and mechanical development, and software & controls enables our team to provide comprehensive solutions to both domestic and global clients. I am proud to be leading a team of around 350 engineers with wide ranging capabilities across the Powertrain Engineering areas of internal combustion engines, transmissions, electrification and software & controls development. We provide engineering solutions to our automotive customers in India and overseas in diverse areas spanning Gasoline, Diesel, Alternate fuels & Electrification. Major focus areas are development and calibration, functional & mechanical development, design & simulation supported by Program Management & Testing
Leading a team of 25 calibration engineers (across 3 locations in India) working on both gasoline & diesel engine calibration projects. Discussion with customers & EMS/FIE suppliers for ECU system requirements, pin-outs & calibration strategy required for the project. Plan, coordinate, and control the activities for the team in order to achieve the desired objectives Plan the resources / budget required for execution of various projects Plan & execute continuous improvement activities with the goal of improving department efficiency Member of cross functional team responsible for planning the new test facilities for upcoming emission & fuel economy norms in India
