About

In September of 2025 I began a new position as a Meteorologist and Solutions Operations Specialist at ICEYE. It has been a wonderful change in my career where I get to work with incredibly high tech satellites and forecast around the globe. 馃寧 Working for a European company based out of Espoo Finland 馃嚝馃嚠 has been an exciting new opportunity. Prior to ICEYE, I worked at The Weather Company for over 27 years, where I served as a Senior Meteorologist at the Weather Channel Network, WSI and The Weather Company. I specialized in collaborating with producers, designers, executive leadership, and meteorologists to create engaging and innovative weather content for national live studio programming, The Weather Channel app and weather.com. My role involved forecasting, leveraging weather models, and advanced graphics systems to communicate complex meteorological phenomena in both written and graphical formats, that resonate with diverse audiences across all platforms. As a key contributor to major weather events such as Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy, I have consistently worked to deliver impactful storytelling that informs and empowers viewers. With almost three decades in meteorology, I remain committed to innovation and teamwork, combining technical expertise with a passion for weather communication to inspire trust and understanding in the ever-evolving field of meteorology. I cohost a top 10 weather podcast called the Storm Front Freaks, and we have been chasing in the Plains together for the last few years. This is something I truly love to do. My background started in aviation when I had worked for Continental Airlines before, during and after college. I began my college education as an aviation major earning my pilots license while at Ohio State. I have a strong passion for anything aviation/weather related. My objective in my career is to do things that are meaningful not only to myself, but contributes in a positive way to others and hopefully saves lives.
