As early adoption architect for SUSE, I am responsible with my team to help SUSE bridge into the openSUSE community. . The most visible products where the team invests resources are: * openSUSE Tumbleweed (rolling distro) * openSUSE Leap (traditional point-releases) * MicroOS & MicroOS Desktop (rolling) * Bridging future SUSE offerings onto the community, such as SUSE's ALP project
As Software Engineer for SUSE, I am responsible for the continuous integration of roughly 12000 source packages into what makes up the openSUSE Tumbleweed Distribution. openSUSE Tumbleweed serves as the base for the openSUSE 'dot-releases' as well as for the SUSE Linux Enterprise products. Collaboration is amongst the most important asset, as reaching out to all involved maintainers/developers, internal to SUSE as well as non-SUSE employed community contributors, in order to link up the various stakeholders in case of issues. Time is of the essence: Tumbleweed being a rolling distribution promises to the users frequent updates. The longer things block each other, the less can we provide on this promise. And we do not like to disappoint our user base.
