As the pharmaceutical field became more familiar, it was realised that students were not sufficiently prepared for the job market, which also requires social skills.Therefore, a small training session on soft skills was conducted, and now pharmacy students are informed and trained on topics such as effective communication, leadership skills, teamwork, active listening and more.
Currently involved in the EPSA Science Monthly Editions by contributing to health-related articles (e.g., “Optimising Old Antibiotics for a Resistant World”), ensuring content is both engaging and accessible to pharmacy professionals as well as the general public. Gaining experience in the delivery of up-to-date, high-quality content and the creation of engaging educational materials.
Provided administrative support for student clubs and university events during the third and fourth years of the Pharmacy program. Contributed to establishing effective collaboration between students, student organisations, and university administration to enhance campus activities and overall student engagement. Within this role, responsibilities included coordinating all relevant parties, managing key documentation, supporting event logistics, training new assistants, and facilitating partnerships with companies offering student discounts.
Under the supervision of a certified pharmacist, the following skills were gained: filling prescriptions, dispensing medicines, offering services to patients such as measuring blood pressure, keeping records, stock and inventory management. In general, the duties of a community pharmacist became more clear as well as the importance of the relationship with the patients.
