Dilip is an incoming third year Medical Student at St John’s College, University of Cambridge and a published author, having graduated from Stonyhurst College, a Jesuit independent school, with all A* at A-level. He was admitted to St John’s in 2024 following his exceptional academic results. At Stonyhurst, Dilip served as Head of Line (Head Boy) and was recognised across the school community for leadership and service. He was named a national Coronation Champion in 2023 for outstanding voluntary work. Furthermore, he became the first Poetry (Lower Sixth) pupil to receive the Stonyhurst Gold Diploma, an award that celebrates excellence and leadership across school life. His contributions also helped Stonyhurst win School House Magazine’s “Charitable Work Champion” national award. Committed to social impact from an early age, Dilip has volunteered with Maundy Relief for years and, in September 2021, was appointed the charity’s youngest trustee aged 16. His fundraising and advocacy have been recognised with awards including the British Citizen Youth Award (2022), the High Sheriff’s Community Award (Person of the Year, under-16 category, 2022), and the Inspirational Young Adult Award at the Best of Lancashire Awards (2023). In January 2023, aged 17, Dilip underwent a life-saving heart transplant at Wythenshawe Hospital. During recovery, he continued fundraising, including a 100-km bike ride supporting the CAFOD Syria–Turkey Appeal and the Wythenshawe Transplant Unit. He now shares his lived experience through patient-advocacy roles such as Cardiomyopathy UK’s Youth Panel. Please feel free to contact Dilip via LinkedIn or email [email protected] for any enquiries.
