With 33 years of experience in Commodities sector, I have built a strong track record, across procurement, trading, supply chain and business leadership roles. I currently serve as Business Head & Executive Vice President at Reliance Retail Ltd., leading the largest Commodity operations in India and driving growth initiatives. Before joining Reliance, I have worked in major commodity organisations including Amul, Venkys, Ruchi Soya, Adani Exports, Nobel Grain, Glencore Grain, where I gained extensive expertise across agri commodities, risk management, commercial operations, P&L leadership in multiple geographies. In addition to my Corporate responsibility, I actively contribute to Industry development - Committee member - Indian Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA) - Board member- Global Pulses Confederation(GPC) - Advisory Board member - Global food and Retail Network I am passionate about building efficient supply chains, unlocking value through data driven and developing strong supplier and customer partnerships. My professional focus had always been on building sustainable supply chains, driving efficiency, developing high performance teams and creating long term value for both organisations and Industry stakeholders.
Currently I serve as Business head- Staples and Executive Vice President at Reliance Retail Ltd, Where I lead the end to end business covering Rice, Pulses, Dry Fruits, Spices, Edible oils, Sugar, Salt, Wheat and Flours. My responsibility span the full value chain - Procurement, Supply chain, branding, marketing, merchandising, while consistently delivering year on year business growth. I also lead one if India’s largest Commodity team, shaping talent and capability across the country considering the Company’s growth plans. - built and scaled private label brands, while ensuring consistent growth and profitability. Develop and manage India’s largest commodities team with a focus on capability building and execution excellence. Deliver year on year business growth through strategic sourcing, strong vendor partnership, operational efficiency and customer focused innovation.
