Jason Diggs-White is a 26-year old Jamaican-born entrepreneur in the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. As the son of late renowned legal practitioner, LESLIE LEE LEO DIGGS-WHITE (Snr), L.L.B (Hons) Barrister-at-Law, Jason had huge shoes to fill but has already made strides down that path of continuing the prowess associated with his surname. Diggs-White is currently working with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in the Ministry of Legal Affairs as well as a law student at the University of West Indies. Diggs-White, who already has a Bachelors' of Science in Sociology and a minor in Criminology, hopes to pursue corporate Finance law / Intellectual Property law after completing his Bachelors of Law. As a admirer of Japanese art, culture and film, he trained as student of the Zendo Kai Kan Karate school achieving the pinnacle of Black Belt (1st Dan) and represented Jamaica on the world stage by winning 1st place Men's Sparring at the 2003 US Open World ISKA Martial Arts Championships, Florida. After learning about the benefits of the Copyright and Related Rights, Diggs-White had an insatiable desire to gain knowledge and perfect his skills. It was no mistake that Diggs-White eventually made the acquaintance of several of Trinidad's top Intellectual Property strategist trained by the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) who eventually mentored him into becoming more efficient at his craft. Equipped with his scientific and analytical background, commingled with his professional experience, Diggs-White has since formulated his own methodology on the way forward and is now seeking to learn to trade stocks in the pursuit of profitable returns in the financial market. At the moment, Diggs-White is in the process of being trained as Intellectual Property Technician who will impart his knowledge to future clients and others across Caricom. His skill, passion, determination and trustworthiness are exemplary and make him an asset to the company and its clients.
Duties: 1. Received trade mark application in accordance with the Trade mark Act chapter 82:81 2. Examines registered trade marks pursuant to section 25 (2) of the Trade Mark Act. 3. Classified the figurative element of trade mark using the Vienna system Etc.
Duties: Investigates the facts and Law of cases and researches relevant sources to prepare cases. Assist in the preparation of Legal documents such as contracts, opinions and agreements; draft correspondence on routine Legal issues. Assist in the development and maintenance of an up to date repository of laws, judgment, contract precedents and other relative material in areas affecting the Ministry's day to day operation. Perform other related work as assigned by the Registrar General.
